Porro prisms

Deviating prisms are used to cause a deflection in an incoming beam. These deviating prisms are manufactured from UV transmitting Fused Silica.

Three types are offered .Dove prisms create an image inversion in a beam input parallel to the base. Corner cubes create a constant deviation of 180° independent of input angle and are often used for alignment purposes. Porro prisms are cut down versions of a right prism and produce a uni-axial beam deviation of 180°.
